After Easter Clean-Up

Easter grass is a major no-no in our house.  Won't buy it.  It's messy and probably bad for the environment.  Easter grass, right up there with Christmas tinsel is a nuisance not to be bothered with.
But plastic Easter eggs ... how do you boycott those?  I guess you don't.  So when I read this idea on re-using eggs over at My Ice Cream Diary I thought I'd give it a shot.

What's for dinner?

Mom, that's silly.

What's Inside?

Crack it open.

Scrambled eggs!  Fun.

She had other fun ideas to check out.  I've never seen my kids eat dinner with such pleasure.  I wonder if this will work for brussel sprouts?

From the looks on their faces, they clearly enjoyed cracking open their eggs! What a fun idea :)
I keep finding the plastic eggs every where! He's been playing with them all week.
Love how your little guy is wearing medals very proudly in these pictures :)

Jamie, Jamie, Jamie.

I am still laughing.....

First I was thinking.... Hmmmm.... chicken nuggets, maybe?

But no.

No, no, no.

It was scrambled eggs.

I love you.

And what a great Mama, you are.

Seriously, I am going to go stuff something in an egg now....

PS: Or even better yet.... Tell your eggs to tell MY EGGS to POP.....

Hmm . . . I usually tuck the eggs away for use the next year (I've been using the same ones for Mr. Husband's basket for years). Perhaps I should whip them out and see if they work on Miss Pickles.

This is a great idea. Except that I hate scrambled eggs. If you'd had barf coming out I'd have reacted similarly. So, I'm going to try to remember this idea with broccoli inside. Broccoli. yum.

That is a brilliant idea! Too bad I already tossed all my eggs or I would definitely do that!

I stole your idea & made these special eggs yesterday for my two lovely ladies. They thought it was most excellent!!! My oldest, Goosey, told everyone about it for the rest of the day. Thanks for helping me be Supermom!!!

PS - You have the most fabulous taste in music. All the artists you have listed (especially Dave) are my favorites!
