Do I Smell Something FREE?

Two shameless plugs and evidence of my poor Mothering from me to you.

It's Giveaway time over at Trish's Blog.  Jump over for some Bloggy Bling (to YOU) and a giveaway.  I really am showing up in this in a future post.
I also received the cutest Blog Award yet.  Thank you to OhMommy at Classy Chaos in a big puffy heart kind of way for this.  OhMommy is not only classy, but writes with wit, warmth, and charm.  That woman is good.  I bet she even vacuums in high heels.  Damn her.

It's so fun being a giver, and now I pass this along to Amy who is all about family, photos, kindness, and real puffy heart sweetness, not the sweet n' low kind either.  The real deal.

Laskigal is one of those blogger friends you know you could just invite yourself over last minute, open the fridge, grab a snack, plop and the couch for some good conversation.  She'd welcome you, I know she would.  You might have to side-step some of Baby J's toys, but that's what makes her a puffy heart kind of girl.

And Lindsey is the kind of sweet that gives you a sweet tooth.  You just keep heading back for more.  More sweet Mommy, more sweet little girls, more sweet pre-school talk, sweet teacher talk, sweet idea talk.  My teeth are aching just thinking of her puffy heart kind of sweetness.

Really, I puffy heart you all.  Really, I do.  YOU.

Speaking of all that sweet talk, check out what a bad Mommy I am.  Do you know what this is?

This is a picture of my son, getting laughing gas, to fix his CAVITY.  He's 3.  Ugh.

Here's the thing.  This was too easy.  Like easier than dragging two munchkins through a grocery store for sure.

He was great.  She was great.  We were all great.  Piece of cake.  Well, maybe um ... piece of something more dentally appropriate, like an apple.

See.  Easy.  Never mind that he's still high.

So then, we get home and I found this scene in their bathroom.  We have two children, but SEVEN toothbrushes, and three tubes of toothpaste.  No kidding.  You may think I staged this photo.  Nah.  I would have wiped the smudges first at least.  So I guess the cavity did make a bit of an impression after all.

We have somewhere between 4 and 6 toothbrushes (depending on how many we can find) for 2 children.

And I could use some laughing gas...

I think it is in out genes if we get cavities or not. I have a mouth FULL of metal....Husband, on the other hand, has a mere 'distal pit'...what the he!! is a distal pit?

So far at 3 and 4 neither kid has had a cavity,,,I say give it a few years.

I've already been to your mom's and put my entry in. Plus, I passed on my chocolate cake recipe!

I think it is too funny that you photographed your son getting a cavity filled... and I thought I took photos of the everyday moments!

We too have a proponderance of toothbrushes and paste for just two boys.

Probably a good thing as RC regularly uses his toothbrush to "clean." This skill should serve him well in military school.

Have a good day,

I don't vacuum.

Thanks for your sweet words.

As the wife to a dentist, I was recently horrified that my 4 year old had a cavity too. It is okay. Some teeth are just more sensitive than others. We brush all the time. Perhaps I should blog about it. :)

Seems like a purchase toothbrushes every time I go shopping....extras for when the kids friends sleep over

Thanks so much, Jamie. I am humbled by your thoughtfulness.

I love the look of your vanity/sink - I'm glad I'm not the only one whose sink looks like that. I think my guys get fond of their toothbrushes and have a hard time parting with the old ones!

You son looks so cute with that mask on. Seriously they are both so adorable.

Thanks again! I will pass it on!

I puffy heart you too. I just don't have that award to pass on...

I am the daughter of a dentist and I have had soooooo many cavities. By the time I was 4 I think I had 6 fillings. I didn't neglect my teeth at all, just weak enamel.

Oh, and I've taken pics of my son at every dental appointment he's had! It's just so cute to have grandma looking in his mouth. Ask me in an email and I'll send you the link to those pics :)

My son had his first filling at age 3 as well. Luckily, it was so small that he didnt' need any novicane.

My kids 'puffy heart' the dentist--she has slides, big fake trees, a 'casino' type room and a movie theater. I'm betting they would be thrilled if they got to go for a cavity fill lol
When they are older, your kids will want 'tooth tunes'--tooth brushes that play all that cool music from HSM (you'll know what it means soon enough, trust me ;) )

Congrats on your award!

Yippee! I feel so honored:) You say the sweetest things, really you do!

Oh and that Tatum...she is a sassy one. I love that photo of her. I think she might be a little like her mommy!

My MM has several toothbrushes. Diego, Shrek, Little Einsteins....it's all about what mood she is in. I'm just an advocate for using them. :)

Thanks for the reminder. I know my Goosey has an appt with the dentist coming up any day now....

PS - We have 6 toothbrushes and 3 tubes of tooth paste in our girls' bathroom too!

Congratulations on your much deserved award!!

And you are not a bad Mommy! Teeth are just funny that way sometimes.

Congrats on all the well-deserved love!

MY sink looks like that. I have three toothbrushes and two tubes of toothpaste MYSELF. If you throw in the toddler's collection, it's even worse. Much worse.

that makes me realize that neither my husband or I have been to the dentist since we have been married...wow....we are probably due for a visit

Congratulations on your award! Much deserved! I love the dentist photos...and the laughing gas.(no laughing matter) I would love to have a tank or two on hand some days.

I think I'll take the laughing gas next time I go to the dentist. I loath the dentist. So scary.

Man, your kids look like they are being SO good at the dentist! Diego has been twice and they have only been able to get the x-ray for his front teeth (due to the screaming and kicking), so he may have a cavity, we don't know. I'm really hoping his next visit is more pleasant, but so far, no such luck. I can't say I blame him, I hate going to the dentist too and I have to go every three months! And by the way, our sink looks like that too, but I recently cut back on Diego's toothbrushes, we had three, now we're down to two. Right now it is Spiderman and a Hotwheels car. Although he was really hoping for the Thomas one that plays a song, but I can't bring myself to spend $4 on a toothbrush that will be ruined in a month or two!

OK, how did you know you could come over, open my fridge, plop on my couch and talk all day long??? Oh, do you know me all too well! When are you coming over???

THANKS so much for the oh so special award! I'm HONORED!!! And, humbled :)

I super big <3 you!

*hubby has no idea why I just squealed with delight over my new bloggy bling. Some of them just may never get it *sigh*

Oh, and don't even get me started on those photos! Could they seriously be any cuter? So sweet I'm getting a toothache!

My sink looks exactly the same! And it's just for the little two. They have multiple toothbrushes as well, and are any of them actually in their bathroom which is connected to their bedrooms? Of course not! They are taking over every bit of my space. Yep, I've never taken a bath in MY tub either!
