Dumbo

A certain little birthday girl and birthday boy just turned one whole hand's worth of 1-2-3-4-5! Holy Moly. Five?!

Maybe it's the nostalgia of creating family five years ago. Maybe it's spending the day at "The Happiest Place on Earth." And maybe I'm just all kinds of mixed up and wacky. Maybe.

Or maybe, maybe our divorce will save our marriage.

There's a certain comfort in being a family of four. There's a certain peace in being able to communicate better now, than in the past months...years. There's a certain insanity when an (ex) husband and wife share dating stories with one another.

Although there are no certain answers, we have found a way to continue to grow. As individuals. As a couple. For this, I am grateful. Grateful and entirely crazy. Who knows what will be ahead. But damn, I could really use a map right now...
...'cause I'm feeling kinda Dumbo.

You are definitely "choosing your own." What is better than a family day at Disneyland? Happy Birthday to two gorgeous kids.

aaah...what a great day!! I do so love Disneyland!! And really...to be honest...4 IS better there, because that way, no one has to ride alone...you've always got someone with you....and that is good.
Sending you good thoughts...warm wishes...and more birthday wishes for your two little ones (who were wearing 'ears' that 3 of us really wanted!!!) :-D

I agree with your assessment... CRAZY! I'm thinking "What?!". I love Disneyland too and I'm sure it brings back great memories for you all. Hope you get through it (meaning the craziness of what this post was about) and become happier for it. I wish you all the best cause you and your kiddos deserve it!

Your map is your heart; you know this :)

I'm actually gobsmacked by this post in a way I can't describe...but it's kind of like deja vu.

You know, I went with those good, warm, fuzzy feelings with contentment and foursomeness and to be perfectly honest, I have moments of both family of four perfection as well as moments of WTF did I do? I had all that freedom and potential, yet, I went with the safe and familiar rather than the scary and unknown.

My kids smile, the glow, yeah. Everyone's happy and that's good. But I still often find myself thinking about all that potential and unknown - again, if you get my drift.

I love that you're happy. I love that you POSTED woman!! You need to keep in touch more often with your fans :)

XO

Love ya.

Sometimes there are no clear answers, we all just have to keep moving forward. It sounds like you both are growing and learning. That is pretty darn awesome.

Hugs as you continue to move forward...what ever direction it ends up being.

What Cheri said and what Huckdoll said. Think about your potential and the unknown before you go with the safe/status quo. Then make whatever decision really works for you in your heart.

Happy Birthday beautiful wonderful grandchildren. Lets go on the train this weekend!
